HST rebate on new builds
A significant HST rebate is coming for new build construction — this does not apply to resale. Here's what we know so far.
- Purchase price between $1M – $1.5M qualifies for up to $130,000 back.
- Eligible for both primary residence use and investors — not limited to owner-occupants.
- Must be purchased directly from the builder on the original builder form. If the title has ever transferred, this rebate does not apply.
- The unit must never have been lived in — brand new and unoccupied, purchased from the builder only.
